Update on transition:
Present to April 29th: Nemont will continue to support many operational functions related to the acquired assets. This includes handling all customer inquiries, service orders, trouble tickets, provisioning, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and more until the customers are fully transitioned to NCC’s billing system. We expect this to happen on or around April 29th.
May 1st until each individual customers services are moved over to the NCC network: After the conversion of data, customers will call NCC for any service, trouble or billing inquiries; however, until you’re moved to the NCC network we will be working closely with Nemont to make the necessary changes to your services. This will be done in phases of groups of customers. We will make every attempt to notify you before your service is moved to the NCC network. We appreciate your patience as we navigate the workflow process of this transition between the two companies.
Tentative transition schedule for moving services over to NCC’s Network – expected to last through October 2025:
- Static IP Internet customers will soon be sent a letter asking you to contact us to get services transferred to NCC.
- Beginning the week of April 21st Internet customers of Ambrose, Fortuna, and East Westby will have services moved over to the NCC network.
- Beginning in May after the conversion of customer account data, the remaining Internet customers of the Williston, Trenton and surrounding areas will have Internet service moved to the NCC network in groups of customers in phases lasting for the next several months. Once we start the transition and see how it goes, we will share more detailed plans.
- Voice services, long-distance, and other services will also be transitioned during this period.
Update on construction:
We are excited to share that we will soon begin a Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) project to upgrade the plant to fiber optics. We are committed to replacing all copper cable plant with fiber over the next several years and will begin this Spring with an area affecting about 300 subscribers in the Trenton and rural Williston area (see map below). Please note that the construction and placement of underground fiber optics will soon begin in this area. Once the construction is completed in late summer, the cutover of services from copper to fiber will happen. The customers affected by this upgrade will be contacted individually. We do plan to upgrade all copper equipment to fiber optics and will share those details once we have a finalized plan and schedule in place. Please know we’re taking great care to minimize any disruptions and are truly excited to bring you new and higher quality services from NCC!
